Timing in ballet has a few meanings. First, dance and music are often intertwined. Learning to hear music is important to the study of ballet. Good timing is a essential skill that every musician and dancer has to have.They have to be able to come in and out at precisely the right time. If you have ever watched a performance, you may have been impressed by the cymbal player who comes in at just the right time or the dancer who leaps on stage at just the right time.
